Back from RT!
I know, I know-it took me long enough to report in!Unfortunately, I came home with a lovely cold/flu thing, so I'm behind, as usual.
RT was a blast, as always! I did some really great networking with booksellers this trip, which was a main goal of mine, and hooked up with a lot of readers, too. I'd like to plan to do a lot more of that next year with a reader party with a few other author friends. A whole year to plan-I'm sure we can come up with something good.
Hung out with my usual posse at RT: my BFF and sister in smut, Lillian Feisty, of course, Christina Cross and her sister, Erika, who we all adored, Alessia Brio and Will Belegon, Karen Erickson, Mari Freeman, Kate Pearce, and new friend Samantha Kane, who is totally adorable and not nearly as innocent as she looks. That's all I'm sayin'...Tawny Taylor was there, in her amazing hand-made costumes-she's incredibly talented! Also hooked up with some Diva friends: Mima, who did fascinating rune readings for us and fed me some interesting neon-colored alcoholic beverages in test tubes. I have no idea what was in them, but boy, did they do the trick! We also saw Dianne, Kat...um...who else...? The last night we hung out with Kayla Perrin and Sharon Page and talked for hours about life, love, writing-really wonderful women.
The best reader party was the Safari party thrown by my buddy Sasha White and the Allure authors-free food and margaritas and tons of great books-hundreds of people showed up!
The costume parties every night were fun-but I'm a total costume geek and I love to dress up, so this was heaven for me. here are some pics:

The last day Alessia, Will, Feisty and I went to hang out in an area called South Side-great old architecture, funky shops and cafes-a great way to end the trip.

Back home now-under deadline, as usual, so I have to get back to work-once I recover from my post-conference depression. I hate this part. *sigh*

While I'm away...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
...gallivanting in Pittsburgh, exciting things are happening! Two of my dear friends and fellow Smutkateers (All for smut and smut for all!) have book releases.
Coming up on April 16th is the release of R.G. Alexander's mysterious erotic paranormal story, LIFTING THE VEIL, from Ellora's Cave!
Here's a peek:
When Meru Tanner receives a mysterious birthday present, The Book of Veils, her world is turned upside down. Now she’s 'seeing' things that aren’t supposed to be real, gabbing with gods—and having erotic premonitions about one sexy wolf-man she’d do anything to tame.
She tempted the feral beast inside him to come out and play. Damon Arkadios has kept the animal part of his nature leashed for thousands of years. He is a guardian, the leader of the Fianna warriors—but from the moment he caught her scent, he knew she was more than just another assignment. Protecting the little seer will challenge his own beliefs—and his control.
Can she accept the legacy handed down to her from the distant past and convince her Lycan to be a part of her future? Or will the ancient evil that threatens to destroy their world keep them from making a new beginning together?
Next up from the fabulous Ms. Alexander is REGINA IN THE SUN on April 22, from Samhain. I would say you must buy this book simply for it's gorgeous cover, but this is a hot and wonderfully written story!
When she arrives at Ye Olde Haven Pub, the sanctuary for Trueblood Vampires, Regina is wounded and desperate. Her only thought is to save the Deva Clan, her family, from the dangerous Loups De L’Ombre, the Shadow Wolves. She knows she will not exactly be welcomed with open arms. She is, after all, an Unborn, the lowest caste of Vampire.
As a natural born from the purest line, Zander Sariel knows the rules are sacrosanct-a Trueblood mates with his own kind. But one taste of the young Unborn is all Zander needs to know that rules were made to be broken.
With enemies at every turn, Zander risks everything to save Regina from the monster that hunts her, his own kind’s ignorance and-if he must-her lack of faith in her own unique abilities.
Only together do they have a chance to defeat the shadow that haunts their future, and save their entire race from extinction.
(Warning, this title contains the following: explicit sex, voyeurism of an m/m/f ménage…a plethora of vampire nookie.)
As if that wasn't enough smokin' sexy reading, Crystal Jordan's TREASURED is coming out on April 22nd, from Samhain!
Graduate student Rebecca Small is so obsessed with the past—especially the Golden Age of Piracy—she doesn't mind her unglamorous job preparing museum displays. This display is about her favorite subject, James Morrow, a famous pirate who mysteriously disappeared without a trace.
Becca touches the pirate's antique sword, and finds herself on a ship in the middle of a sword fight, saving the sexy captain from being stabbed in the back—literally. Once the smoke clears, the man who claims he's her husband is more than eager to reward her for her timely assistance.
James Morrow knows very little about the woman he was forced to marry five years ago, but the woman who saved him doesn't fit the portrait he's painted of her in his mind. She's strong, brave, and submits to his every dark desire. She seems the perfect woman for a pirate, but he makes his living among the dishonest and disreputable—trust isn't a commodity he trades in.
(Warning, this title contains the following: Explicit sex, graphic language, anal sex, violence, light bondage, spanking, the occasional hot wax scene, and a string of pearls going where no jewels have gone before. You're welcome!)
Enjoy you're reading while I'm gone!
Off to the Romantic Times Convention!
Well, almost...I leave on the 15th. This is always an exciting event and I can't wait to get there! Hundreds of authors (and I am still in awe of my favorites-meeting them in person never gets old), readers and booksellers, lots of books and writerly swag, and of course, the costume parties!
I am a total costume geek, and am distressed that due to life's circumstances, I haven't had quite as much to put into my costumes this year as I would have liked. But I think they're still pretty nice, and I love to play dress-up.
I'll be signing at the RT convention Book Fair at the Marriott Hotel in Pittsburg, on Saturday, April 19th from 11AM-2PM. If you're in town, I hope you'll come by and see me! Lots of great authors there, free chocolate, and maybe a few cover models wandering around, too. One can hope, right?
I'll be promoting my upcoming books. My May 20th release, HOT NIGHTS, DARK DESIRES, is a three-novella anthology, with stories by me, Stephanie Tyler and Sydney Croft. My story, THE ART OF DESIRE, is about a tattoo fetish-one which I happen to have, so I could really relate to my heroine! You can visit my website for an excerpt: www.EdenBradley.com
FORBIDDEN FRUIT, my lusciously sensual food fetish book, will be out in October, but I just got word that I may have some advance copies at RT, so a few people may get a sneak peek! You can read the blurb on my website-an excerpt is coming soon!
Hope to see some of you at RT!
