My Interview at Novelspot!
I did this interview a few months ago and it's finally up! You can see it here:
http://www.novelspot.net/
I love doing interviews, for some reason-fun!
My writing has changed direction once again. I've begun work on a new manuscript called The Dark Garden. This is also a BDSM-themed novel and will be the longest piece I've written yet. A big challenge, but I am definitely up for it. Long story short, I had to come up with a full-length novel to market to the NY publishing houses, so I spent a few days hashing it out and I'm really happy with what I came up with. Many thanks to Gemma, Jax and Amanda for brainstorming with me! It means producing a lot of work very quickly, but the discipline will be good for me. I'm aiming for 30 pages a week minimum. Being a slow writer, this could prove to be difficult, but I've done 15 already this week, so I think it's looking good. My friend and fellow erotica author Sasha White is riding herd on me through this process, cracking the whip and keeping me on track. She's an awesome writer! Check out her website at:http://www.sashawhite.net/
Hey, my romance novel, Cherokee Cowboy(written as Lisa Bradley), is still available at www.NewAgeDimensionsPublishing.com
It's not erotica, but it's definitely steamy with a sweet romantic storyline. Who can resist a sexy cowboy when his blue jeans fit him just right...?
And for those of you who like your reading HOT, you can still find my erotic novella, Heat Wave, at www.Phaze.com
It's one of the Heat Sheet Sparkler series, so look for the Heat Sheets listed on the left side of the main page.
Okay-back to work!

Exciting News!
I've been horribly negligent, but there's been a lot going on!
The big news is that I'm signing with an agent! Roberta Brown of the Brown Literary Agency has agreed to take me as a client! I'm so excited because she is the agent I was hoping for. I know several of her clinets and they have nothing but wonderful things to say about her. She's the kind of agent who doesn't just want to sell a book, she wants to build a career, and that's exactly what I want. And I have a feeling that she will sell my work. I'll keep you posted!
Meanwhile, I finished polishing 'Winter Soulstice' and sent it off to the Amber Quill Press Heat Wave contest. I won't have results until March 1st, I think, so the waiting begins!
I've also made a little more progress on 'The Lair'. I'm really enjoying writing this story. What goes on in people's minds is endlessly fascinating to me, particulalry that transition into the BDSM lifestyle.
I've also worked a bit more on developing my characters and the storyline for 'Love & Discipline', the third book in my BDSM series. I need to come up with a name for the series-or maybe I should sell it first, since it seems like editors usually change your book titles, anyway? But I had an idea that linked into a conversation in one of the books...well, we'll see.
Many thanks to my fabulous critique partners, Gemma Halliday and Jennifer Colgan for helping me through this process!
BTW-you MUST check out Gemma Halliday's website! She writes brilliant chick lit, and her first book, 'Spying in High Heels' is due to be released this summer. http://www.gemmahalliday.com/
Jennifer Colgan writes sexy paranormal romance with a humorous twist, and she's fantastic! Go take a look at her website, where you'll find out how to buy her books: http://www.jennifercolgan.com/
She also has an alter-ego, Bernadette Gardner, if you like steamy science fiction: http://www.bernadettegardner.com/
Okay-gotta get back to work!

VOTE FOR ME!
Happy New Year to all!
Okay, a little shameless self-promotion here to start off 2006...
Literary Nymphs is hosting a 'vote for your favorite Phaze author' contest at their website! Just go to:
http://www.geocities.com/literarynymphs/featured_publisher_Jan_06

scroll down until you see a drop box with all of the Phaze authors names, choose your favorite (I hope it'll be me!) and submit your vote!

In writing news, I'm almost done polishing 'Winter Soulstice' and after an all-day writing retreat at fellow author Jax Cassidy's house the other day, 'The Lair' is coming along nicely. I wrote 14 pages in one sitting (okay, we took a few breaks to brainstorm and gossip )-alot for me, since I'm normally a slow writer.
Don't forget-'Heat Wave' is still avaialble at www.Phaze.com as one of their Heat Sheet Sparklers, and my romance novel, 'Cherokee Cowboy' is now available at www.NewAgeDimensionsPublishing.com

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and successful 2006!
My motto for the year is a quote from 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show': "Don't dream it, be it."
